On the 25th May, I started off the day in a hair salon in Spitalfields for the wedding of Sarah Daly and James Greenfield. The wedding had a Pearly Kings & Queens theme so what better way to start the day off than a quirky venue in East London.
After here it was on the the main venue, Town Hall Hotel in Bethnal Green. I had been looking forward to shooting in this venue for a long time. The main room for the service is an old council chamber which just looks stunning. Walking around the venue there is almost an endless supply of antiques and collectibles that make for some great photos. One of my personal favourites is the wall hanging rug complete with moose head!
There were some lovely touches to the London theme which included table names in rhyming slang, a cake made by one of the guests that included hundreds of handmade icing buttons and a collection of vintage tea tins used instead of vases for the table flowers.
The bride and groom wanted a relaxed and fun wedding and it definitely delivered on that. The speeches were top class and set the wedding party up perfectly for an evening of dancing away to the likes of E17’s House Of Love.
Thank you both, it was a pleasure.
