From the first time I met Jack and Sona over a coffee you can tell that they are a couple very much in love. Were it not for finding out that Jack is a keen war gamer, I would say they share absolutely everything else in common, from their love of food through to being each others training partners for triathlons and marathons. Their wedding reflected them as couple, their happiness resonated with the guests through the whole day.
Sona was at her house in the morning, accompanied by her family who had all flown over from the Czech Republic for the wedding.
The wedding was in their hometown, Royal Tunbridge Wells at the Royal Wells Hotel. Following the service, the guests went all went on to the reception venue whilst I went to the local Dunorlan Park with Jack and Sona for a couple shoot. It was my first time at Dunorlan Park and it’s a stunning location and we managed to find lots of places within that were free of other people to shoot in. There was a slight breeze which really brought Sona’s dress and veil to life!
The speeches were quite emotional, the highlight for me was seeing Sona’s reaction as Jack’s non-Czech speaking sister gave an entire speech in Czech following 6 months practice. Not something I imagine I’ll see again.
The evening finished perfectly with the wedding party sending a sea of Chinese lanterns in to the night sky.
